About the Speaker.

Andrew Baker is a dedicated professional with a proven track record in supplying customers what they need when they need it. He currently holds the position of Export Manager at POET, the world's leader in Bioethanol production. With a passion for fostering global partnerships and expanding market reach, Andrew plays a pivotal role in POET's efforts to distribute their feed ingredients all over the world.

Andrew's journey in the field of renewable resources began four years ago while joining POET on the distribution and logistics team. Showcasing an ability to connect with customers and understand markets, Andrew moved into various domestic sales and management roles. As a domestic Merchandising Manager, he was able to demonstrate a keen understanding of market trends, regulatory requirements, and customer preferences. His strategic mindset and excellent communication skills led him on to POET’s Export Team.

In his role as Export Manager at POET, Andrew helps a dynamic team focused on optimizing the company's global sales efforts. POET stands as the forefront of sustainable energy solutions, producing over 7 million tons of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGs) annually in addition to its leadership in bioethanol production. He collaborates closely with cross-functional departments to align export strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring that POET's co-products (DDGs and CFP) remain in high demand worldwide. Andrew's leadership, combined with his deep industry knowledge, has been instrumental in propelling POET's international expansion, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
