Future of Feeding with Wilmer Pacheco

About the Webinar.

Please join us Wednesday, January 3rd at 9:00am (CST) for our "Future of Feeding" webinar series! This webinar series focuses on using innovation in the processing of animal food, the equipment being used (existing and newly developed), as well as using grains from our region for co-products. A new speaker will be featured each month.

This month will feature Wilmer Pacheco, Extension Specialist & Associate Professor at Auburn University. Join us as Wilmer presents on Importance of the Macro and Micro Structure of the Feed on Poultry Performance. A few highlights during his presentation include:

  • Grinding equipment (hammermills vs. roller mills)

  • Influence of particle size (microstructure of the feed) on pellet quality

  • Organ development

  • Reverse peristalsis and nutrient digestibility

  • The importance of feed form (mash, pellets, and crumbles), and alternatives to improve pellet quality (macro-structure of the feed)

So, mark your calendars! You won’t want to miss this webinar!
