Matt Durler | ICM Feed Innovation

About the Speakers.

Matt performs a hybrid role. In conjunction with his ICM responsibilities, he is the managing director of climate-smart sorghum at National Sorghum Producers.

Working with farmers, Matt leads carbon-friendly farming programs that create low-carbon feedstocks for ethanol biorefineries. He has led the development of value-added feed products, tailoring solutions for both ethanol biorefineries and animal feeders. He is also responsible for the commercialization strategy of feed products created with ICM technologies.

Prior to joining ICM, Matt spent 11 years at Conestoga Energy in various roles from plant manager to vice president of marketing. He is a graduate of Washburn University, where he studied finance, economics and marketing. He earned his bachelor's degree and MBA while playing college football. With strong roots in production agriculture, he continues to be involved in the family farm and cattle ranch near Dodge City, Kansas.

Ryan Mass | ICM Feed Innovation

As Director of Nutrition and Feed Development for ICM, Ryan Mass is responsible for leading the market development activities of animal nutrition for both new and existing distillers feed products. He collaborates with customers and industry experts to develop market strategies based on industry trends, applications, competitive intelligence, and needs. He brings in-depth feed industry knowledge, specifically on the use of feed ingredients and nutrient requirements across multiple species from his 15 years of experience as a practicing animal feeding and nutrition consultant. Ryan holds a B.S. from Iowa State University and a Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

John Duff | Sero Ag Strategies

John Duff is a U.S. agricultural thought leader who manages a boutique consultancy that specializes in sustainability and economic strategy for agribusiness. His past professional experience includes serving as Executive Vice President for National Sorghum Producers (NSP), where he provided leadership in key moments including during the Chinese investigation of the U.S. sorghum industry and NSP’s successful effort to a secure a $65 million USDA climate-smart award. John is also a real estate investor specializing in the acquisition and management of prime, predominantly irrigated farmland in West Texas, and he owns residential rental properties in the area, as well. John earned his bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and his MBA from Texas Tech University.
