Topics throughout the series include new processes, useful information on milling and baking, equipment information, and uses for cereal grains grown in MN, ND, SD, and MT. A new speaker will be featured each month.

This month will feature Wayne Becker, Direct Sales Agronomy Specialist at Nachurs, and Jill Herold, Sales Agronomist/Crop Advisor at Nachurs who will be presenting on Growing a Climate for Tomorrow by Building on the Past.

Wayne Beckers | Nachurs

About the Speakers.

Wayne Becker has a B.S in Ag Economics from West Texas A&M University, a M.S. in Agriculture Science from Texas A&M – Commerce, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of North Texas. He lives near Gainesville TX.  Previously he has worked in production agriculture and Texas Extension. Over the past 10 years he has been employed by Nachurs Fertilizer, working in various agronomy, management or sales roles for their U.S. South Region.  His work and studies have focused on agriculture production with a focus on improving agricultural production while positively influencing both on farm economics and soil/plant health. 

Jill Herold | Nachurs

Jill Herold earned her B.S. from Colorado State University in Bioagricultural Sciences. She’s worked all over the US (including a couple years in Hawaii) primarily as an agronomist for the past 20 years; majority of her work has focused on potatoes and sustainability. Her passion for agriculture is what drives her every day. She is active in many ag organizations including Montana CattleWomen, alumni of REAL MT Class II, on the board of directors for No Person Left Behind, Montana Adventures, among others. Jill and her husband live and ranch in Montana where they raise cattle and 2 ornery yet amazing little boys.
