Please join us Wednesday, January 12th at 9:30am (CST) for our "Cereal Innovators" webinar series! This interactive webinar series focuses on new and unique ways to use cereal grains. Topics throughout the series include new processes, useful information on milling and baking, equipment information, and uses for cereal grains grown in MN, MT, ND, and SD. A new speaker will be featured each month.

The webinar will be helpful for entrepreneurs, economic developers, and community leaders to hear presentations on pertinent topics to successfully launch a cereal foods manufacturing business.

This month will feature Dr. Neil Doty, Business Development Manager at the Northern Crops Institute and Dr. Delore Zimmerman, President and CEO of the Praxis Strategy Group.

About the Speakers.

Dr. Doty has an extensive career providing guidance in building successful agriculturally oriented organizations. Doty's experience involves strategic, business, and marketing planning in cereal grain, oilseed, vegetable, and fruit-based intermediate and finished food, feed, fuel, and fiber products processing and distribution. Doty has been in chief executive management roles with Global Electric Motorcars, LLC, Fargo, ND and Sonne Labs, Inc./Giant Seeds, Wahpeton, ND. Early in his career, Neil was the Director of Product Development for General Nutrition Corporation, Pittsburgh, PA.

 

Delore Zimmerman, Ph.D., Praxis Strategy Group President and CEO

An economic development strategist with more than 30 years of domestic and international experience, Delore works with local and regional economic development groups, technology-driven companies and universities to create innovative, technology-based economies.

He is the co-founder, president and CEO of Praxis Strategy Group and co-founder of Praxis Africa, a network of development professionals with a demonstrated commitment and capability to implement sustainable development in their home country and in cooperation with other affiliates throughout the African continent. Affiliates are currently located in Ghana, Liberia and Tanzania. Delore has received eight Small Business Innovation Research awards from the USDA to develop tools and practices that rural regions can use to build competitive communities in a global, networked economy and has advised regional development organizations in Wales, England, South Korea and Africa.

Delore holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Dakota and a doctoral degree from Pennsylvania State University, where his work focused on the mobilization of territorial-based alliances for economic development.
