About the Speaker.

Alicia ElMamouni is the Executive Director of Pivot Clean Energy Co (Pivot), a global coalition expanding access to bioethanol for household energy.  Alicia has been in the bioethanol and clean cooking sectors for the last 11 years, having started her focus in the industry with POET in 2011 working on cellulosic bioethanol.  In 2016, Alicia became the Director of Seeds of Change, an international non-profit within POET that supported clean cooking initiatives in Haiti and Mozambique.  In her last transition before Pivot, Alicia was a Director at Garner Advisors, leading business development and program management of early stage bioethanol businesses in developing economies. Alicia’s interest in clean energy and development stems from observing the need for practical solutions within a cultural context while living in Morocco from 2007 - 2011 as a Peace Corps Volunteer and Cultural Coordinator with Morocco Exchange.  Alicia has a BS in Biology from Taylor University.
