Course Overview:

The cheapest feed ingredients don’t always lead to maximum profit.  This course is designed to demonstrate the economic advantages of precision feed formulation methods vs. least cost formulation, specifically using U.S. soy feed ingredients.  The course will cover precision feed formulation for swine, poultry, and aquaculture.

Participants will learn about the needs of various species during different stages of growth; identify ways to gain precision using current equipment; hear about advances in software and machinery for precision formulation; and learn about financial advantages.  

This course will begin at NCI in Fargo, North Dakota on the campus of North Dakota State University and end in Brookings, South Dakota at South Dakota State University.  If flying, participants should prepare to arrive in Fargo, ND and depart from Sioux Falls, SD.

This course is meant for anyone involved in feed production and use including ingredient buyers, nutritionists, feed manufacturers, and livestock producers.
