Course Overview:

Many students studying animal nutrition or ag engineering don’t have direct access to or experience in a feed mill. NCI provides this three day workshop as a service to those students and our partner universities.

Participants will gain a basic understanding of the feed milling industry, milling processes, and quality and safety standards. They will experience a comprehensive overview of feed manufacturing considerations from ingredient selection to finished product. Students will spend time in both the classroom setting and working hands on with equipment at the NCI Feed Mill.

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for graduate students in animal science, dairy science, poultry science, ag & biosystems engineering, or related fields from any University.  Junior and senior level undergraduate students may be considered for the course as well.
