Course Overview:

Join the Northern Crops Institute (NCI) for an in-person course on Food Barley Uses. This course is designed to give professionals in the food industry an in-depth look at all aspects of barley for food: breeding, nutritional benefits, barley processing and milling, food product launches, hands-on demonstrations, food trends, and contracting and securing supply to ensure its continued relevance in the global food and industrial sectors. This is an in-person course conducted at the NCI facilities in Fargo, North Dakota, USA.

  • Learn about the nutritional and health benefits of consuming barley-based foods.

  • Gain an understanding of barley breeding techniques and how barley’s unique properties make it suitable for a range of food applications. 

  • Participate in hands-on demonstrations involving processing, milling, baking, and product development.

  • Explore the sustainable uses of barley in agriculture, current trends, and market dynamics.

Hotel Information:

NCI will reserve hotel rooms for all participants at the various locations during the course.  After registering, an email will be sent to you with more information. Hotel rooms costs are not included in the course registration fee.

Transportation:

Transportation between the airports and hotels will be arranged by NCI, with more information provided prior to the start of the course.

NCI will provide daily transportation during the course.

Cancellation Policies:

Requests to cancel a registration must be received on or before May 5, 2025 to receive a full refund. Requests to cancel a registration after that date will receive credit for a future NCI course that is good for 1 year.  If NCI is forced to cancel this course, all registered participants will be immediately contacted, and each will receive a full refund within 10 business days.
