Responsibilities:
As Processing Technologist, Samuel’s responsibilities include:

  • Conduct pilot-scale processing and assists with laboratory analyses on northern grown crops. This includes: milling, oil seed processing, and other analysis. As well as assisting with pasta productions, extrusion, and soyfood processing.

  • Contribute to demonstrations and training for domestic and international trade team and short course participants.

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Crop and Weed Sciences with an emphasis in Agronomy from North Dakota State University

Experience:
Samuel has had 10 years of Agricultural experience in various roles.

  • Sales Agronomist: made recommendations for fertilizer, chemical and seed to farmers.

  • Seed Specialist: operated and maintained a seed treatment facility.

  • Grain Elevator Manager: managed and operated a facility handling; wheat, soybeans, canola, durum, sunflowers, corn, pinto beans, and barley.

  • Samuel worked part time with NCI prior to being hired full time.
