Responsibilities:
As Food Scientist, Zare’s responsibilities include:

  • Serving as Project Manager for clients and oversee all communication, planning, execution and follow-up of food development and testing services.

  • Developing, presenting and participating in educational programs related to market opportunities and end-product quality of Northern grown crops to producers and end-users.

  • Developing and presenting technical information and laboratory demonstrations for educational programing for domestic and international grain buyers and processors.


Education:
Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology, Shahid Beheshti University

Master of Science in Food Science and Technology, Shahid Beheshti University

Ph.D. in Food Science and Bioresource Engineering, McGill University 


Experience:
Previously worked as a Food Safety and Quality Coordinator, and Senior Research and Development Scientist in academic and industrial level. Dr. Zare has work experience in quality and HACCP standard, food safety training, and operating procedures. She has conducted work with dietary supplement and ingredient formulations, and food product development and processing for pulse crops.
