Responsibilities: Provide administrative leadership for Institute’s fiscal, personnel, and program efforts. Secure state and private funding. Lead public relations efforts with regional, national and international partners. Maintain contact with commodity groups, food processing industries, trade organizations, professional organizations, private sector representatives. Consult with Northern Crops Council (NCC) for Institute direction.
Responsibilities: Accountant for Northern Crops Institute. Maintains NCI Budget records, Financial Statements and Projections. Also responsible for track of special funds, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables.
Responsibilities: Serving in a consulting capacity to provide internal oversight for processing, technical aspects of education programs and laboratories. Coordinates and supervises processing of value-added products from northern grown crops for private industry, regional universities and commodity groups.
Responsibilities: Directs the operation of the NCI Feed Production Center and oversees the production of livestock feeds used by North Dakota State University, North Dakota Experiment Stations and other land grant institutions in the four state region. Assists US Grains Council and the American Soybean Association with international outreach programming and technical assistance.
Responsibilities:Special focus on baking with wheat and soy. Conduct laboratory analyses on northern grown crops, assist with pilot-scale processing, and participate in demonstrations and training for domestic and international trade team and short course participants.
Responsibilities: Main duties include but are not limited to operating Wenger TX-52 Twin Screw Extruder, maintaining equipment vital to daily operation at NCI, and keeping inventory of all ingredients and equipment used at NCI. Assists Technical Director when using small scale pilot Durum mill, and offers support when the Fitzpatrick Hammer Mill is utilized.
Responsibilities: Design and conduct pilot scale extrusion, soymilk and tofu processing for external clients; Lead food science-related product development projects by providing content, expertise, knowledge, skills and supervision as necessary in the areas of pasta processing, food extrusion, oilseed processing, and other food processing technologies as required; Serve as the NCI technical expert and consultant in soy foods/beverage and extrusion technologies
