Koch Speaks to North Dakota Crop Improvement Association |

Koch |
Fargo, ND – Dr. Kim Koch will speak at the North Dakota Crop Improvement and Seed Association's annual meeting on February 7-8 in Bismarck. Koch will share his perspective on “China— Opportunities for North Dakota in Trade and Education/Skills Training.” He is the feed production center manager for Northern Crops Institute. Koch participated in a North Dakota trade delegation to China in October, sponsored by the Office of ND Governor John Hoeven and the ND Trade Office. |
As a result of the trip, Northern Crops Institute was invited to propose training programs and opportunities to educate Chinese farmers on how to use North Dakota feed ingredients. Koch said, “China promises tremendous market potential. In order to groom that potential into long-term economic benefit, education and technical assistance programming must be developed that demonstrates the value of our region's crops and co-products when placed into the product mix of Chinese food and feed suppliers.” Roger Johnson, North Dakota Commissioner of Agriculture, and Cherie Harms, marketing director of the North Dakota Trade Office, will also speak at the meeting. |
