NCI Director Recognized by WQC; Other NCI Staff Elected to Boards

Northern Crops Institute (NCI) staff members were recognized at the Wheat Quality Council (WQC) meeting Feb. 26-27 in Kansas City. NCI Director Pat Berglund was presented with a plaque, commemorating the completion of her second term on the Wheat Quality Council's Board of Trustees. Brian Sorenson, Technical Director at NCI, was elected to the WQC's Board of Trustees. Wes Twombly, NCI's Extrusion Specialist, was elected Vice Chair of Spring Wheat Technical Board of WQC. The Wheat Quality Council encourages development and production of new wheat varieties and hybrids that meet the functional and nutritional needs of food processors.
