Kaae Elected NCC Chair

August 4, 2003 NCI's Northern Crops Council Elects Brian Kaae as New Chair
Fargo, ND, USA - The Northern Crops Institute's (NCI) governing board announces the election of Brian Kaae, a producer from Dagmar, MT, as chair of the Northern Crops Council (NCC). He represents the Montana Wheat & Barley Committee and has served as vice chair of the NCC this past year. Kaae succeeds Sherwood Peterson, a producer from Baker, MN, who served as the NCC chair last year. Matt Mechtel will take over as vice chair. Mechtel is a producer from Page, ND and has been reappointed by the North Dakota Soybean Council to serve a second three-year term on the board. New additions to the NCC include Mark Askegaard of Fargo, ND, and Jim Burbidge of Mohall, ND. The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council appointed Askegaard, and Burbidge is appointed to fill the permanent seat for the North Dakota Wheat Commission.
